Winter Solstice Lunar Eclipse
Last night was the first total lunar eclipse to fall on a winter solstice in 372 years. The last time a lunar eclipse corresponded with a winter solstice was Dec. 21, 1638.

You're too close man
STEP BACK! I have a telephoto lens and I know how to use it. You could say I like to get up close and personal, from a distance. I like to examine the texture and composition of things- trees, fabrics, animal hides or feathers. A closer look at things usually leads to a new perspective.

Shrimp and grits
I will always be inspired by New Orleans. The people, the music, the food, the architecture. It is where my passion for photography began. There is a comfort I will always be able to find in the Big Easy and some things I can never learn to live without- cafe au lait, boiled crawfish, gumbo, jazz bands, and festival season.
